About the Spell Maker

What this project is

Witch Hat Atelier Spell Maker is a free, independent fan-made creation and learning tool. It helps newcomers assemble an understandable spell seal without studying a separate reference first, while preserving the layered controls experienced fans need for complex compositions.

The editor combines guided starting points, explanations, multiple Seals and Rings, Sigils, Sign Groups, Lines, custom images, local recovery, share links, and PNG, SVG, or JSON export. It is not a simulator and does not claim to predict a definitive magical effect.

Unofficial status and rights

This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by Witch Hat Atelier's creator, publishers, licensors, or anime production partners. Witch Hat Atelier names, characters, terminology, and original artwork remain the property of their respective rights holders. The site uses original interface artwork and does not bundle copied character art or manga and anime screenshots.

Users are responsible for having permission to use any custom image or symbol they import or share.

Sources and interpretation

The learning guidance is based on original summaries of publicly discussed material, including the Independent Witch Hat Atelier Wiki magic overview, its pages about Signs, Sigils, and Spells, along with observations and discussions from the fan community.

The Independent Wiki states that its text is available under CC BY-SA 3.0 unless otherwise noted. This site does not mirror Wiki articles. It summarizes relevant concepts in its own words, links readers back to source pages, and distinguishes source-supported information from observed or community interpretations. Images and other media on third-party pages may have separate rights and are not automatically covered by the text license.

The editor's architecture also learns from the interaction patterns demonstrated by the independent WHA Spell Maker by Davi, while using this project's own implementation, interface, copy, and visual assets.
